Hi Bill, you weren’t home when I dropped off the bikes yesterday. They worked flawlessly, and we made it all the way around fine. Very difficult day Friday from Wreck Cove to Pleasant Bay. The North Mountain was steep and long as we expected, but the WIND! We only found out when we got to our B&B that it was part of Hurricane Maria. Saturday was better, and yesterday was lovely.
We’re off to PEI today. You made our trip work out, thanks again. Larry

Coming from Colorado, Gina and Michelle rented touring bikes from us to travel around Cape Breton. No need for a rental car for these two. Gina sent us this note shortly after they finished conquering the Cabot Trail…

“Just wanted to say thanks again for the great bikes & info on a great ride!! Two of us did the Cabot Trail self-supported, and rode out right from the shop. The grand narrows ride to start was awesome, but I can’t recommend starting at 2pm for the 100km… and us Colorado types have a new respect for mountains that are only 455m“

Hi bill

The bikes and panniers were great! No mechanical problems, excellent touring bikes and appreciated the panniers rain covers!!!

Had a great time, what an astoundingly gorgeous province you have! I could not get over the views of both the Atlantic and bay of st Lawrence

It’s quite something for us prairie hicks!!

Thanks Bill! Sorry to not email you until now but I could not get Internet the other day. We got the bikes and successfully completed the ride. It was tough but so gorgeous and well worth the effort! The bikes held up great too. We are back at the Telegraph House in Baddeck. Thanks again!

Legendary trials rider Ryan Leech came to Cape Breton in May 2010 on the Trials of Life tour. He visited three schools and put on a great demo at the shop. While he was here he took a trip around the Cabot Trail. Here is what he had to say…

Was it a dream? My visit to Cape Breton Island happened so quickly and I am yearning for more! This was a work trip, but ‘work’ is relative because I love what I do. I am a Pro Mountain Biker and I perform tricks on my bike, and my mission during those three precious days was to visit three schools to give my Trials of Life presentation, and to perform a public show at Framework. Mix in some great media engagements, lots of new friendships, and some incredible weather, and it is a dream to remember! I’ll be back Cape Breton, but next time for much longer!! Many thanks to all the kind and friendly folks that made my visit such a success at the schools and the shop.
