Bike Rentals

Road Touring Bike

Road touring bike rental – $35 per day or $175 per week.

This is the most popular bike to rent for a Cabot Trail tour. It can carry extra weight with ease. It has very low gearing to climb the big hills. Drop style handlebars with STI shifters for a comfortable ride with minimal resistance.

The bike comes with a pump, bottle cages, spare tube, minor repair kit, and rear luggage rack.

 FAQ:

I made a mistake on my booking, or I need to make a change. Can that be fixed? Of course. We’ve been doing this a long time, but the booking system is new and may have a few glitches. If you make a mistake, or need to make a change, or add anything, or something doesn’t seem right,  just let us know. We are always accessible by email and generally respond the same day or within 24 hours. Feel free to complete the booking and we will tweak it for you, or contact us in advance and we’ll let you know if we have what you need. The link to our email is at the bottom of this page.

Can we pickup/dropoff the bikes in other areas? Delivery to and from Baddeck and other areas can be arranged. We will add that feature to our online booking program shortly. In the meantime, please contact us directly for information about delivery.

What if our trip starts/ends on Sunday or a holiday? Even though we are closed on Sundays, it is possible for multi day rentals to arrange a pickup or dropoff to allow your plans to go exactly the way you want. Please contact us directly for further information.

  1. Good morning-
We are interested in renting bikes to ride the Cabot Trail and would need a Men’s XL and a Men’s L. Our plan is to pick up bikes on September 30 and return them on October 6. Do you have bikes to fit us?
    Thank you,
    Susan

  3. We will be in the area on 9/5 off of a cruise ship and was wondering about bike rentals. My husband is 6’1″ & I’m 5’3″. Also my husband has a low tolerance to the smaller seats. Do you have a wider seat for him.? Also how strenuous is the terrain or is this an area that we can just ride through casually and enjoy the sights around town and have lunch. Thank you for any info that you cam give us. Sincerely Karen

  5. Hallo there,

we are two cyclists searching for a bike rental beginning on the 15th of July. As we are planning to do the Cabot Trail completely, it would be important for us to have bikes with carriage facilities. Would it be possible to get those from your shop?

Furthermore, we would like to ask you if you can provide tourist information about the Cabot Trail.

    Yours sincerely
    Gero Feldhaus

  6. We’re sorry, this message slipped through unnoticed. We weren’t ignoring g you on purpose. Not sure what you mean by carriage facilities. The bikes have rear racks and we do have panniers available to rent.

We will give you any tourism info that we can, but if you visit http://www.cbisland.com you will find everything you need and want.

You can book your bikes directly on our website.

Once again, we are very sorry about the slow response.

  7. Hi!

I am planning to cycle the Cabot Trail ~October 27/28 until November 1st, looking into renting either the hybrid or the road touring back.
I was originally planning to bring my bike from home (Calgary) however looking over pricing for its transport it may be more economical to rent.
If I have some extra luggage (ie. clothes), do you store anything at the bike shop while we have the bikes?

    Thanks for your info!
